William M. Patterson

William Monroe Patterson passed away February 17, 2010.

Services with military honors will be 10 a.m. Sunday at Union Cemetery in Teague. Visitation will be 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, February 20, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

William was born July 10, 1925 in LaGrange, Georgia, and served in the Navy for 29 years, through three wars. He also worked for the State of Texas, and served as a Baptist minister for nearly 30 years, which included a radio and prison ministry.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Bond.

He is survived by a daughter, Margaret Susan; grandchildren, Amy Masters and husband, Tim, and Leighann Villines and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Zack, Britt, Samuel, Hannah and Sarah; brother, Leon; and nieces and nephews.
